'Ferrari test driver Giovinazzi faces return to Formula 1'
- GPblog.com
Not long ago, Mick Schumacher was promised a bright future at Ferrari. After a number of big shunts, the narritive has completely changed. There is even intense speculation whether the young German will have a long-term future in Formula 1?
Fierce criticism
Earlier this month, Haas team boss Gunther Steiner strongly criticised Schumacher. Fortunately for him, Schumacher kept his car in one piece in Baku, but otherwise the German did not impress. For the first time in his career, he started 20th and last. In the Grand Prix Schumacher finished 14th.
Meanwhile, the story goes that Oscar Piastri would be in the picture for a seat at Haas. The Australian is currently test driver for Alpine, where there might not be a place for him next season either. Piastri is also linked to Williams, as a replacement for Nicholas Latifi.

Renowned motorsports journalist Joe Saward comes up with a new name on his website for Haas' list: Antonio Giovinazzi. The Italian is driving in Formula E this season after Alfa Romeo decided not to renew his contract. As a reserve driver for Ferrari and Haas, Giovinazzi is at most Grands Prix. Ferrari, according to Saward, has a say in which driver drives at Haas and the Italians would love to put their test driver in the seat.
