Leclerc gets ten-place grid penalty in Canada
- GPblog.com
Charles Leclerc will face a ten-place grid penalty at next Sunday's race of the Canadian Grand Prix. The Monegasque will have a part in his engine replaced, which will put him over the limit.
It had been rumoured for some time that the Italian team would opt to replace Leclerc's engine with new parts. Since the race weekend in Azerbaijan, when the driver crashed out with engine problems, the team has been working hard to find solutions.
Ferrari possibly comes up with more parts
It cannot be ruled out that Ferrari will come up with more replacement parts in the coming days, which would ensure that Leclerc would start from the back of the grid. For now, Leclerc will be spared that and will only have to move back ten places on the grid.
