McLaren has announced another partnership with a big name from the United States. The Formula 1 team from Woking will enter into a partnership with the major investment bank Goldman Sachs in the coming years.
The partnership is another step in McLaren's expansion into the American market, where the name of the British racing team is increasingly prominent. The parties enter into a multi-year partnership with a focus on sustainability, explains McLaren CEO Zak Brown on the official website of the team.

McLaren hopes that the investment bank can help the team achieve its carbon neutrality goals faster. "Goldman Sachs will be a key partner in our sustainability journey, and we look forward to collaborating to make a positive contribution to our team, communities, and the wider world," said Brown.
McLaren aims to halve its carbon footprint by 2030 compared to 2019. By 2040, the team aims to be carbon neutral and the support of Goldman Sachs in this endeavour will be "invaluable", according to Brown. The bank's name will appear on the MCL36 cars of Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo from the British Grand Prix onwards.
