Sergio Perez suffered a contracture after his crash in Montreal on Saturday. The Red Bull Racing driver revealed this in an interview with the Mexican branch of Fox Sports.
Perez only became aware of his neck injury a few days later, from which he is currently rehabbing. The aim is to be back in top form for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on 3 July.

The Mexican is keen to come back strongly then from his disappointing weekend in Canada. "It's always difficult to start the week after such a bad day," he commented. "I had a bad strain after the crash, which I didn't feel. I had a lot of pain but overall I am fine, everything is good."
He has just under two weeks to rehabilitate and prepare for the next race, but cannot train his neck as normal due to the injury. Therefore, the focus is on recovery, for which the Mexican is undergoing neck therapy. In this way, he hopes to regain his strength quickly and be able to take revenge at Silverstone.
