Lewis Hamilton was racially insulted by Nelson Piquet and the seven-time world champion is very shocked by that. Hamilton can count on a lot of support from the F1 community and Charles Leclerc also had nice words for the Mercedes driver.
Hamilton is shocked by the statements of the possible future father-in-law of Max Verstappen. The Brit says he has had to deal with racism all his life and emphasises that the statements made are about more than language. According to Hamilton it is an archaic way of thinking which should not occur anymore in the whole world.

Leclerc: "I have known Lewis since I entered F1. He has always been extremely respectful to me and to everyone he meets. Those values should be the standard for everyone in the world."
The second part of the text says: "We cannot tolerate the statements that have been made about Lewis. We must work towards a more diverse and inclusive sport. We must eliminate discrimination and racist language in every form. Not only in our sport, but also in our society."
