Albon very happy with Red Bull-like upgrades

Williams has come up with a host of upgrades for the British Grand Prix, reminiscent of Red Bull Racing's concept. Alexander Albon is aiming for Q2 in qualifying thanks to the upgrades.
The Williams team has not been doing well in recent years. The dominant years and even the seasons as a very stable midfield team have been over for a while now and it is now a tough fight for the points every year. Even with the new 2022 rules, Williams has not made much progress.
With the upgrades introduced for Silverstone, the team wants to change that, however. Alexander Albon is hopeful of a strong result in qualifying, thanks to the new upgrades.
"If we can get the balance of the car right and build confidence in it, that's a good result. Of course, if you look at the numbers when it comes to positioning, Q2 should be a clear goal for us," the driver revealed to Motorsportweek.com.
Little testing time for the new FW44
It was difficult to gather enough data on the new parts on Friday, due to rain during the first free practice session. Albon was unable to test the modified car much on track as a result, but the times he was on it felt positive for the Thai. "Every time I was doing a lap, the car felt strong. That's good news because sometimes an update needs a big set-up change."
