Verstappen's race helmet from Austria worth more than 100,000 at auction
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen will auction the special edition of his racing helmet that he used during the Austrian Grand Prix. The proceeds of the auction will go to charity and that is a good thing, because the counter is already at a huge amount.
Verstappen racing helmet stands at 132,500 euro
At the time of writing, the highest bid for the helmet is 132,500 euros. The winner of the auction will not only receive the helmet, but also an invitation to go to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with someone else and meet Verstappen there. There have been 38 bids since Friday. The auction started at 5000 euro, but the amount has risen considerably.
The last bid was also made on that Friday, so it is doubtful if anyone will pass the huge amount. On the other hand, it is plausible, because all interested parties have enough time to think about it. The auction runs until 4 September. The money raised will go to Wings for Life, a non-profit organisation that researches cures for spinal injuries.
