Mika Hakkinen is a firm believer that Ferrari can make life very difficult for Red Bull Racing in the World Championship. The Italians are getting better and better according to the two-time world champion.
Red Bull Racing is in the lead in both world championships. It is ahead of Ferrari in the constructors' standings and Max Verstappen is also ahead of Charles Leclerc in the drivers' standings. However, at the Austrian Grand Prix Ferrari impressed the 1998 and 1999 world champions.
Confidence in Ferrari
''Ferrari have worked hard to find that straight-line speed to be competitive against Red Bull. However, this weekend we also saw that Ferrari were better on the tyres on a circuit that usually suits Red Bull very well'', the Finn reveals in his column for Unibet.
Red Bull did everything strategically to lure the Italians out of the tent, but Ferrari also executed the strategy with great confidence, according to Hakkinen. Reliability is still a concern after yet another failure but Hakkinen is not worried: "I'm sure they know where the problem is", concludes Hakkinen.
