Charles Leclerc was very hard on himself after the French Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver thought he made too many mistakes and afterwards several F1 analysts were critical of Leclerc's moments this season. Christian Horner believes that small mistakes with sometimes big consequences can be explained.

At Sky Sports, the Red Bull Racing team boss was asked if he thinks Leclerc is a 'crasher'. "I don't think so. I don't know whether anything else contributed to his accident but he is a very strong driver. These two guys are pushing each other so hard and these cars are right on the edge in these conditions.

Horner is pleased that Leclerc got away unscathed. "The main thing today is that Charles was ok. It was a cracking race between the two of them in that first stint and a nasty-looking incident." The Monegasque managed to get out of the car under his own power and ultimately did not need to go to the medical centre for a check-up either.
