'Ferrari still have the better cards on paper compared to Red Bull'

The next race scheduled is the Hungarian Grand Prix this weekend. Ralf Schumacher expects a strong Ferrari at the Hungaroring, while Mercedes will start the weekend with a big gap.
"Ferrari still have the better cards on paper compared to Red Bull. The Hungaroring is a downforce circuit and that should suit the cars of Leclerc and Sainz better", he writes in his column for Sky Germany.
Ferrari has opted for strong performance rather than stability with its car. The reliability problems with the engine are still unresolved, but in France the team made mistakes of its own. "Ferrari's approach to the season was actually good. You always face the question: do you go for performance or stability? Ferrari went for performance, followed by a few targeted updates, but you also have to take it to the finish line."
Mercedes has no chance
Lewis Hamilton and George Russell finished second and third in France, but this was mainly due to Ferrari's mistakes. Leclerc was in the lead before his crash, while Sainz finished fifth after grid penalties and an unsafe release during the race.
According to Schumacher, the gap to Ferrari and Red Bull is still too big to consider Mercedes as contenders for victory. The W13 will again struggle in the high temperatures in Hungary.
