Norris: "Things are feeling good" after his P2 finish in practice
Lando Norris surprised everyone during FP2 after he finished just behind Charle Leclerc in the later running. Norris has been a victim much like a lot of other drivers of having an inconsistent car from week to week but maybe this weekend the McLaren will finally come into its own and they can fight at the front.
Whilst it was no surprise to see the usual suspect of Leclerc and Verstappen towards the front of the grid. Seeing a papya coloured McLaren certainly was. However, Norris feels that come tomorrow, his McLaren might fall away from the leading pack.
"Things are feeling good. The car is in a good place, and seems to be suiting this track or characteristics a little bit more for sure. But we are always a bit quicker in P2 then we are compared to quali," Norris said to Sky Sports.
"We are know everyone else especially Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes normally step it up a bit more tomorrow. I think we are feeling good and we have been saying that the car is in a reasonable position. Probably a little bit head of where we were in Paul Ricard." he continued.
Pole out of the question?
When asked about his chance for pole, Norris' response was simple. "No"!. But with Lando's supreme driving ability combined with the clear improved performance on his car, maybe this weekend could be a chance to fight for the top spot.
