Alexander Albon is in his first season since returning to Formula 1. The Thai is certainly not the only talent in the motorsport class, as other drivers are also positively noteworthy. In conversation with Auto, Motor und Sport he tells which drivers he would choose if he had a team.
The Williams driver was close to Max Verstappen for a year and a half. The Dutchman made a very positive impression on Albon and proved to be unreachable for him. Albon therefore has a lot of respect for Verstappen, he told the German medium.
"If I did not have to take salaries into account, I would definitely take Max. He is very talented and brings everything with him," Albon stated. "Because of the dynamics of the team, the choice would be Lando (Norris). He gets on well with Max. Max and George (Russell) would probably mean fireworks."
Russell impresses at Mercedes
Russell showed positive signs in his first half year with Mercedes. The Briton managed to secure 158 points to stay above Lewis Hamilton in the world championship. The difference between Russell and Norris, who is still struggling at McLaren, is 82 points.
