Masi looks set to return to motorsport: 'In the running for a new role'.

Michael Masi does not have to worry about his future in motorsport. After it emerged earlier that the former F1 race director was in the running for a Supercars role, he now appears to be in demand for another role.
Masi was sidelined by the FIA at the start of 2022. The former race director was widely criticised after the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and was blamed for mistakes in that finale. Masi had a tough time during that period and said he had to deal with many threats. However, he could not comment on that final race as he signed a non-disclosure agreement with the FIA.
New job for Masi
Last week it emerged that Masi is in the running for a new job. He would be on the list to replace Neil Crompton as chairman of the Supercars Commission. Crompton stepped down after ten years at the helm of the organisation. Masi himself later denied these rumours.
Now reports Motorsport.com that the position at the Supercars Commission is not the only role Masi can take on. The medium states that Masi is also in the picture for the South Australian Motorsport Board. This has been re-established to bring back the Adelaide 500, which serves as the conclusion of the 2022 Supercars season. That race is from December 1 to 4.
