After a four-week summer break, the Formula One season gets underway again this weekend at Spa-Francorchamps. Lewis Hamilton talks about how he stays healthy and energetic throughout the season.
Hamilton is a determined driver. The Briton has already won seven world titles and is still on the hunt for his eighth championship victory. Throughout his career, Hamilton has learned the importance of putting himself first.
With the strict rules surrounding Covid-19 in the sport, Hamilton has become even more aware of hygiene and health. "A big focus for me is trying to stay healthy, 365 days of the year and to be happy," he told the British GQ.
Hamilton tries to live more consciously
"Every year I've always looked at trying to help figure out how I can be better and how I can have more energy. How can I be a better teammate? How can I feel better and how can I balance my life out better? Just over time becoming more and more conscious of how I'm treating myself, being more in tune with my body and what my body needs and when it needs to rest," says the seven-time world champion.
The Belgian Grand Prix is the first race of the upcoming triple header with Zandvoort and Monza. Mercedes still has the goal of winning races this season. With a gap of thirty points to Ferrari, anything can happen in the second half of the season.
