Audi has, as expected, dropped the first hint of its entry into Formula One. On the Audi Sport Twitter channel, a photo is shared showing an F1 car.
Audi to F1
It has long since ceased to be a secret that Porsche and Audi will be entering Formula 1 from 2026, the question is when it will be announced. On Friday morning Audi made itself known for the first time with a Tweet on its own channel. It shows a picture of an F1 car, with the caption: 'More rings are coming. Watch this space'.
While Porsche will almost certainly team up with Red Bull Racing, Audi is reportedly working on a deal with Sauber. This would see it take over from Alfa Romeo, currently the title sponsor of the Swiss team. Audi would like to play a bigger role within a team, where Porsche would mainly enter into a partnership.
