Where Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton finally seemed to tolerate each other, after the Belgian Grand Prix little seems to be left of that. Alonso let loose on his old rival over the team radio. Hamilton said he did not want to comment on what Alonso said. On Tuesday a remarkable post appeared on Hamilton's Instagram page showing a potential apology gift.

Hamilton gifts Alonso

"Even though the weekend didn’t go the way we wanted, after an amazing break it was so good to be back at work. I love my job, my team, and I loved the energy at Spa. Thank you to the team for all the hard work and thank you to the fans that came out to show love, I appreciate you," reads the caption.

The last picture of the post is remarkable: it shows a Mercedes cap signed by Hamilton, with the message 'For Fernando'. An apology after all or rather a disguised sneer? During his interviews, the Mercedes driver already hinted that he and Alonso had achieved 'different results' in their careers and the reactions to the post seem to indicate the latter as well.
