Haas open to Schumacher staying with the team in 2023

Mick Schumacher still does not know if he will race for Haas F1 next season. The driver has still not convinced the American team and therefore has to fear for competition. Guenther Steiner is keeping an open mind for the time being, he told RTL Deutschland.
Schumacher entered Haas in early 2021 hoping to make strides with the team, but there was little for him in the first season. The car finished near the back of the grid, leaving the driver without any points as the racing year drew to a close.
Uncertainty about Schumacher's future
This season he is doing better. With 12 points he is 15th in the world championship, but his teammate has managed ten points more. It seems to raise the question at Haas F1 about Schumacher's future with the team.
"Mick has had a couple of good performances. If he can repeat those, he is a candidate to stay," judged Steiner, who is happy with his attitude. "He is behaving very well." However, the team boss does not dare to look too far into the future. "I don't know the details."
