Max Verstappen crushed the competition in Belgium last week. Whether he will do the same again this weekend in the Netherlands remains to be seen, but the Red Bull Racing driver himself does not believe a repeat of his supreme weekend at Spa is possible.

Verstappen does not expect a repeat of Spa

Starting from P14, Verstappen stormed to the leading position on the track in less than 20 laps. The Dutchman dictated the race and won with a lead of more than 15 seconds over his teammate Sergio Perez, who finished second. Although Verstappen told GPBlog today that he is likely to have a competitive car, the driver from the Netherlands doesn't think it will be as easy as last week's race.

Speaking to ViaPlay, Verstappen said: "I don't think it will be like it was in Spa, because that was also something we didn't expect. I think we can do well again, but I do expect Ferrari to be strong here as well." So the Dutch fans might be treated to an exciting battle on track between Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. Tomorrow the GP weekend officially starts with the free practice sessions and then the first comparisons can be made.
