Nyck de Vries was able to complete another free practice session on Friday. Where he stepped into a Williams and Mercedes car earlier this season, it was Aston Martin's turn in Italy. In conversation with Viaplay he draws a comparison between the teams.
While the three teams all have a Mercedes engine, the other aspects of the car are completely different according to De Vries. He had to get used to the Aston Martin car and on Friday he finished nineteenth, trailing only Nicholas Latifi.
"It is clear that Mercedes has a slightly different car," said De Vries. "And the circuits have also been very diverse on which I have driven on Fridays. The differences are pretty clear. Not only the feeling with the car, but also the differences between the organisations."
De Vries is ready for challenge in Formula 1
Earlier in the day, De Vries stressed that he would like to drive in Formula 1 on a permanent basis next season. According to the Dutchman , he has proven himself sufficiently in recent years and would therefore be able to keep up with the other drivers in the motorsport class.
