Leclerc hopes: 'Think I can win one more race this season'.

Charles Leclerc had to start from pole position for the Italian Grand Prix under huge pressure from the Ferrari fans at Monza and the Italian media, but unfortunately for Ferrari it was Max Verstappen again who ran away with the win. However, Leclerc remains hopeful that he will win another race this season.
Ferrari's strategic choices looked better at Monza, but this time the team was unlucky with the timing of the virtual safety car. At the moment Leclerc was called in, the VSC was lifted. As a result, the Monegasque lost time compared to the drivers on track.
"Overall, I think the pace wasn't bad but we've been unlucky with the VSC ending in the pit lane during our first stop. We were happy to make it harder for ourselves on the medium but we didn't get the full benefit. Then had to let the mediums go as long as possible," Leclerc began speaking to Sky Sports.
Leclerc thinks he can still win this season
In the closing stages of the race, Leclerc's chances suddenly looked better, as a late safety car allowed the Monegas to rejoin Verstappen. However, the race was not restarted and the Ferrari driver had to chase Verstappen to the finish. "It looked like the track was clear and I was expecting a restart but maybe something was on in the background I don't know. Today, it's difficult to predict a VSC ending. Red Bull are really good, especially in the race. On that they have the upper hand," Leclerc continued.
However, the Monegasque is far from giving up. The title victory seems almost impossible, but a victory is still possible according to Leclerc. "I think I can win a race before the end of the season. We've had a great reaction from Spa to Monza, but we have shown good pace. I am sure we can win some other races."
