Ricciardo hopes to clarify future before Singapore GP

Daniel Ricciardo is in his final season at McLaren. With most Formula 1 teams for next season already full, the question is whether the Australian can still be found in the motorsport class in 2023. For Ricciardo, it is clear that he wants stability for himself more than anything else.
The driver was under contract with Red Bull Racing for five years. He was then part of Renault's team for two years, before experiencing a similar period of collaboration at McLaren. The last two periods did not go as expected for Ricciardo.
"Racing is like dancing. It's about rhythm and timing. When you turn in, when you brake and release the brake again," Ricciardo told the NOS. "I don't dance, but so imagine that with a dance partner you also have to feel a rhythm. You do it together. If you two can't dance as one, the rhythm is gone."
Ricciardo wants balanced choice
Ricciardo wants to avoid ending up in a similar situation next season, which is why he is putting everything together in the coming period. The former teammate of Max Verstappen is not ruling out a season away from Formula 1 in 2023.
"Maybe the best thing I can do is wait a year until 2024. That sounds strange, but in the end it might make the most sense. My management has good contacts in the paddock. In a triple header, I have to focus on the races. Maybe I will get more clarity in a few weeks without a race."
