Haas have spare parts shortage in Canada
Guenther Steiner has warned his drivers not to crash this weekend as the team are running low on spare parts. Grosjean has gone through his spare parts at a rate of knots this season, whilst Magnussen has used them at a steady rate.
With plenty of races in the next seven weeks, Haas might be holding back some parts for the European races.
“The spare situation with old parts, it’s quite bad,” Steiner said to the F1 website.
“I think with the spares position we are in now, we had a few crashes lately so that never helps you. And at the same time we were planning to do the upgrades, so you had both things going on and that’s why you end up with no parts.”
Haas lifted all expectations in Australian when they were running 4th and 5th, but they haven’t returned to these highs since the opening race.
They’re currently eighth in the standings, only ahead of struggling Sauber and Williams.
