Latifi thanks Williams for opportunity offered: 'Honoured'
- GPblog.com
Nicholas Latifi has taken to social media to comment on his imminent departure from Williams. At the end of the season, the driver must make way at the British racing stable. Although disappointed with the conclusion, he is mostly grateful to Williams for the opportunities offered.
The Canadian got a seat at Williams in early 2020 and hoped to make it there, but never managed to convince. Whereas he was left without points in his first season, a year later he managed seven points to his name. This season, he still failed to finish in the top ten during races, while his teammate Alexander Albon did a lot better.
On social media, he thanked Williams. "Honoured to have represented them for the last 3 years. A massive thanks to the whole team – it’s been an incredible journey and I’ve enjoyed every second of it," said Latifi, who wants to end the year well. "Determined to end 2022 positively."
So, I’m parting ways with @WilliamsRacing at the end of the year.

Williams looking for successor Latifi
Logan Sargeant's name comes up most often when it comes to succeeding Latifi, but it seems there are several drivers on the list. Williams will therefore use the coming weeks to make a decision towards next season.
