Albon compliments De Vries: 'Nyck did a really good job'

Alexander Albon is happy to be back, he told Sky Sports and others at the press conference. The Thai had to miss out on the Italian Grand Prix, but now feels sharp enough to start again.
"It feels good to be back. I feel ready and as fit as I can be," the Williams driver convincingly announced. "We had a good week, almost two weeks of training, to get back to where we are. We will see how it goes."
Albon had to undergo surgery on his appendix during the race weekend in Monza, forcing him to be replaced by Nyck de Vries. Although the Dutchman did an excellent job, he was disappointed not to be able to take part in the GP.
"Firstly, I was supposed to be asleep for a few days but I woke up 30 minutes before the race. It was frustrating to watch and the heart rate went up. They told me to switch it off at one point. It's only because we had such a good car on the Friday."
Albon thanks De Vries for performance
In hindsight, however, De Vries feels he did the right thing, with another compliment left for De Vries. "Nyck did a really good job. He brought home some points which is very good for the team."
