Hamilton keeps aloof over Red Bull issue
Asked for his reaction to the possibility that the FIA investigation might affect the outcome of the 2021 championship, Hamilton keeps aloof. "I'm not really giving it much attention, to be honest. It's all whispers at the moment, I don't know enough about it to be able to make a sensible comment," said the Mercedes driver.
Hamilton said he is not concerned with possible repercussions on last year's championship. Moreover, the 37-year-old Briton believes that it remains to be seen whether there is any truth in the rumours and speculation currently circulating.
Whatever the outcome of the issue, Hamilton is confident that the FIA will ensure that the rules are followed. "For those sort of things which can lead to real alterations in terms of car performance, we definitely have to take it seriously. But as I said, I don't know if it's true or not so we'll see," Hamilton concluded.
