Wolff on close relationship with Hamilton: 'Grown together'

Toto Wolff is still very happy with Lewis Hamilton's performance, he told Channel 4 in an interview. The Austrian notices that Hamilton is still capable of performing and, moreover, does not think that the Briton himself is already done with Formula 1.
Hamilton still has a commitment that runs until the end of next season. After that, it remains to be seen when the seven-time world champion chooses to end his career in the motorsport class. However, Wolff would not be surprised if Hamilton continues.
"The advantage is we speak a lot together. Just last week we sat down and he says ‘look, I have another five years in me, how do you see that?," Wolff says. "Over time we have just grown together. We are totally transparent with each other. Lewis will be the first one to say ‘I can’t do this anymore’."
Wolff sees strong Hamilton at Mercedes
While the driver has so far scored 33 fewer points than his teammate George Russell, Hamilton has also been unlucky this season. However, Wolff is confident that Hamilton will be there again next season and is even capable of fighting for the world title again with a good car.
