Leclerc may struggle: 'He's under tremendous pressure'

Charles Leclerc saw the world title slip by him for good at the Japanese Grand Prix. The Monegasque has plenty of work ahead of him to do a lot better next season. According to Emerson Fittipaldi, he could still struggle, the Brazilian told Vegasinsider.com.
The driver has not only struggled to keep up with Max Verstappen this season, but is also in quite a competition with Sergio Perez. For now, the Mexican has gained one more point than his rival, leaving another challenge ahead for Leclerc.
"I think Leclerc is getting more experience with every race," stated Fittipaldi, who saw Leclerc make a painful mistake in Japan. "With that mistake, Checo Perez is now second in the championship and Verstappen was confirmed World Champion"
Pressure mounts for Leclerc
In the United States, Leclerc already has the opportunity to show himself. With Verstappen having already won the world championship, it may be that the Dutchman's biggest edge is off, although the Red Bull Racing driver previously revealed that he will try hard to win the upcoming races as well.
Fittipaldi thinks Leclerc needs to look at himself above all and show improvements. "There will be more pressure on Leclerc for the US Grand Prix. That's going to be tough for him for sure. He's under tremendous pressure."
