Hamilton will 'fully' focus on own film company after F1 retirement

Lewis Hamilton has launched his own film and TV production company with manager Penni Thow. The company is called Dawn Apollo Films. The Briton plans to focus entirely on the company when his career in Formula 1 comes to an end.
Two projects are already planned, namely a Formula 1 film starring Brad Pitt and a documentary about Hamilton's journey. Both titles will be produced by Hamilton under his new production company. The documentary about the Mercedes driver is expected to be released in late 2023 or early 2024.
The Brit aims to create impactful stories that inspire others. The company will largely focus on social impact and community. Speaking to Deadline, Hamilton reveals that he still has no plans to leave F1 now that he has launched his own company. He does, however, plan to focus entirely on the new project when he retires.
Hamilton not planning to quit for now
"When I do stop racing — which I don’t plan on doing for a while; I still feel I’m in a good place — I want it to be seamless. I want to be able to move on to fully focus on Dawn Apollo Films and to be able to jump in at a similar level to what I’ve been used to," the seven-time world champion says in the interview.
Hamilton believes it is important to find other passions in life besides F1, as he knows many athletes who did not know what to do with their free time after retirement. "I’ve spoken to people who have said ‘look, when I stopped it all came crashing down, I wasn’t prepared to do other things, I hadn’t taken time to learn any other crafts, other skills, and I don’t know what my other passions are." For now, the Brit continues his adventure in F1. Hamilton is still chasing his eighth world title.
