F1 to Colombia
Earlier, Jaime Pumarejo, the mayor of Barranquilla, revealed that a team is working hard to bring F1 to the Colombian city. The race weekend should not cost the country or the city anything but should create jobs, tourism and recognition. It plans to take the idea further in the coming period, after which it hopes to hold the first race in 2024 or 2025.
Van Haren now reports on his Twitter account that Stefano Domenicali flew on to Colombia after the Mexican GP. There, exploratory talks are said to have taken place about a future race. Nothing is concrete yet. South Africa would also still like to host a GP. Talks about a possible race weekend in 2024 are still ongoing.
