Hamilton may return to music, with a surprising instrument
- GPblog.com
Lewis Hamilton may be featured on Major Lazer's next album. The Mercedes driver visited the group in the studio and is on Twitter seen playing a banjo as the group works on the music.
Besides his work as a Formula 1 driver, Hamilton is also busy with all sorts of other things. He has worked with clothing brand Tommy Hilfiger for years, had voice over roles in the Pixar films Cars 2 and Cars 3, is currently working on a Hollywood film with Brad Pitt, and has been co-owner of American football team the Denver Broncos since this year. But one of the hobbies he says is closest to his heart is music.
Back in 2018, Hamilton was featured on singer Christina Aguilera's song Pipe. This is probably not known to the wider public, as Hamilton participated on the song under the pseudonym XDNA. Since then, fans have been looking forward to Hamilton's next music project, which could be even closer than thought.
Collaboration with Major Lazer
This weekend, Hamilton was in Las Vegas for the launch party of the circuit there, and prior to that event, he visited music group Major Lazer, known for the song Lean On, among others. On Twitter, the group posted pictures of themselves in the studio at work on their next album, with Hamilton fiddling along on a banjo. The tweet is topped off by the text "Who's ready for Lewis Hamilton's banjo solo?"
