Sebastian Vettel will end his Formula 1 career at the end of the season. While the German will race for Aston Martin in Brazil this coming weekend, he will say goodbye in Abu Dhabi the following week. The driver will do so with a special helmet, according to F1i.com.
Indeed, in a week and a half, Vettel will appear on the grid with one showing 1,000 mini-portraits of fans. They can bid on his special website to get their hands on his latest helmet, with which he hopes to raise a lot of money.
The amount Vettel will earn from the campaign will be invested in the environmental projects he himself supports. In this way, he hopes to do his bit for nature and also say goodbye to the motorsport class in a nice way.
Vettel ends season relaxed
In the world championship, Vettel has very little left to fight for. The German driver is in 11th position with a point ahead of Daniel Ricciardo. Valtteri Bottas is one place higher than the four-time world champion and has 11 points more. In the next two races, Vettel will work hard to finish in the points at least once.
