Concerns at McLaren: Norris returns to hotel in Brazil after feeling unwell
- GPblog.com
McLaren has decided to give Lando Norris the remainder of the day off. This is because, according to the British formation, the driver was not feeling well, possibly involving food poisoning. The team hopes to welcome him back to the track on Friday.
Although only the first free practice session is scheduled on Friday, the drivers will have plenty to do a day earlier as well. For instance, Norris would join Max Verstappen, Lance Stroll, Esteban Ocon and Kevin Magnussen at the press conference.
Missing from the press conference, the Briton will rest at his hotel to get into his car fit to finish first practice on Friday. A few hours later, qualifying is already scheduled at the Brazilian Grand Prix, as a sprint race awaits on Saturday.
Lando is feeling unwell with suspected food poisoning, so he will rest in the hotel today. We expect him back at track tomorrow.

Season slowly coming to an end for Norris
The stakes are low for Norris in the final two race weekends. The driver is seventh in the world championship, trailing Carlos Sainz by 101 points. Esteban Ocon is his pursuer with a difference of 29 points.
