Lando Norris feels he could have beat Magnussen.
Lando Norris managed to secure fourth in today's qualifying session but felt he could have achieved more when if conditions stayed the same as they were in Q1.
Norris spoke to Sky Sports following Friday's sessions in Brazil, "I am really happy with today, to be honest. I don't feel good. I feel like I didn't do things like I should have done if I was feeling 100% but things still turned out well considering I was P1 in Q1 and P2 in Q2. Surprisingly a good day." Norris who suffered from food poisoning on Thursday pushed through and managed to get his McLaren out on track today.
Norris went on to talk about how the conditions in Q1 suited him best and felt that if they had stayed the same he would have been the man to beat. "I think when the conditions were more tricky we proved that we were the quickest (Q1 and Q2) and I was the quickest, but in the end it was about do we take the risk and come out first when the track conditions were the best or wait a bit." he finished the interview saying, "I think if I went out first we would have been in front of the Haas."
