The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is the last race of the 2022 Formula 1 season. Racing under the artificial lights of the Yas Marina Circuit, but at European times. Find out what time and where to turn on for the sessions in Abu Dhabi here.

Whereas in 2021 the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was the finale of an exciting battle for the world title, both world titles have already been won before the final F1 race of 2022. Max Verstappen secured his second world title in Japan and in America, Red Bull Racing could also celebrate as a team.

Verstappen already sure of title

Still, there is plenty to race for over the final race weekend. For instance, Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc are still fighting for second place in the championship and there are also some interesting battles in the constructors' standings. For instance, Mercedes can still take P2 from Ferrari, McLaren is still chasing Alpine's P4, Aston Martin wants to gain another place at the expense of Alfa Romeo and Haas hopes to keep AlphaTauri off the track in the final weekend.

Despite a four-hour time difference with Abu Dhabi, the sessions will be run on European times. This is because the sessions local time will be run in the evening, under the artificial lights of the Yas Marina Circuit. As a result, the first free practice session is at 10:00 UK time, qualifying starts at 14:00 and the lights go out for the start of the race at 13:00 UK time.

Where can you watch F1 in Abu Dhabi?

At F1TV, with a subscription you can also watch the footage, here you can then choose commentary from different countries. Otherwise, it will be broadcast as usual on your local TV service. This is Sky Sports in the United Kingdom.

GPblog will also provide you with the very latest news this weekend and a liveblog of each session can be found on the website. These liveblogs will appear on the site one hour before the session starts. Besides the live report, you will also find summaries, reactions and analysis here first. GPblog is also present at the circuit this weekend and will also report from the paddock.
