Verstappen hopes to see Schumacher back: 'Maybe after next year'

Mick Schumacher, son of racing legend Michael Schumacher, will be without an F1 seat next year. According to two-time F1 champion Max Verstappen, this need not mean the end for the young German in F1 just yet.
Verstappen turns on Schumacher
Schumacher will be sidelined by Haas F1 for Nico Hulkenberg after two years of loyal service. The German's results were so disappointing that the team thinks it has a better driver with the old but experienced Hulkenberg. Verstappen feels sorry for Schumacher that he will no longer race against him in F1 next year, but speaks encouraging words to the German.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Dutchman says: "I talked to Mick a bit. It is not the end. It's very unfortunate of course, but he is still young. I hope he gets another chance after next year." Schumacher is not yet out about his future plans in motorsport but hopes to announce more soon. His uncle Ralf Schumacher reacted less resignedly to the news, finding it styleless how his nephew has been treated by Steiner and the team.
