Many F1 fans associate the names Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen with the interview incident that took place between them in 2017, at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Going into detail about that no longer makes sense, as the two will become teammates at Haas next season and praise each other's work ethic.

Magnussen tells Formula1.com it is a shame that German Mick Schumacher has to go: "I like Mick and had a good time with him this year, and I think he’s done a good job at the end of the day." Hulkenberg, according to the Dane, will be a "great asset" for Haas.

Boost for the team

Haas finished eighth out of ten teams in the constructors' championship, perhaps not the most thunderous performance but a big improvement on 2021. Back then the American racing stable finished tenth. Hulkenberg's arrival could certainly provide an extra boost at the team, which could help it score even better next year.

The Dane calls the German an "experienced driver" and is looking forward to working together. “I’m sure it’s going to be fine" Magnussen said.

It will be an exciting year for Haas with this line-up: the drivers are both strong on track and could help the team progress even further. But whether their personalities will clash both on and off the track remains to be seen.
