Mercedes AMG F1 are once again honouring the late three-time F1 champion and team advisor Niki Lauda. The street where the team's headquarters is located in Brackely has been renamed Lauda Drive.

Mercedes headquarters street name renamed in honour of Lauda

Mercedes' headquarters can now be found on Lauda Drive in the UK. The street was initially called Reynard Park and was named after the owner of the site, but since Mercedes bought the land last year, it was time for a change. For Mercedes, Lauda, who died in 2019, was integral to the team and all its successes. The Austrian was not only a champion and F1 icon, but also a beloved colleague and friend at the heart of the sport.

In a press statement from Mercedes, team boss Toto Wolff took the floor: “It’s a true honour to unveil Lauda Drive and it was great to see so many team members gather to watch the reveal. While our dear friend and colleague Niki wouldn’t have wanted us to make a fuss, he would also be proud to have this road named after him" Anyone who makes the way to the Mercedes headquarters will in future be unable to ignore the contribution Lauda has made to the team's successes.
