Formula 1 success in the making? 'This one will top the billing'

The Formula 1 calendar features no less than three US Grands Prix next season. Besides the races in Miami and at COTA, the motorsport class will travel to Las Vegas, with the main race to be held on Saturday night. Jenson Button sees the new GP as a 2023 highlight.
With race weekends in Azerbaijan and Monaco, among others, Formula 1 already has several street circuits. However, the former Formula One driver is convinced that the GP in Las Vegas is going to be a great addition to the programme, he told Motorsportweek.com.
"A place like Vegas brings something very different to the sport and the race weekend," Button argues. "The atmosphere will be electric. Las Vegas is such a cool place, and then to bring F1 into the equation, it will be the perfect show! We all know that there are a lot of great shows in Vegas, but this one will top the billing."
GP Las Vegas tickets highly sought after
The organisers have nothing to complain about in terms of interest, as in early November the race weekend for next calendar year was virtually sold out within a day. Only the most expensive tickets were still on sale. In 1981 and 1982, the Caesars Palace Grand Prix Circuit had already hosted Formula 1 races in the city.
