Michael Masi prepares for return: 'Exceptional'

Michael Masi has found a new challenge in his native country, reports Speedcafe.com. The former Formula 1 race director will join Karting Australia on the board of directors. He has held other roles at the organisation in the past, so he is gearing up for a return.
After leaving as race director at the FIA, Masi decided to return to Australia this season so that he would have more time for his family. At the end of the summer, it became clear that he had found his next challenge as chairman of the Supercars Commission.
Masi brings experience to Karting Australia
So with that comes his place on the board of Karting Australia next calendar year. He will not be the only newcomer here, as commercial lawyer Melissa Holzberger is also making the move to the organisation. Both will take on volunteer roles.
"Michael’s experience in the world of motorsport in Australia and on a world, level is exceptional, and we’re delighted that he has decided to accept the invitation to join the Board," stated Kevin Davis, who is chairman of Karting Australia.
