Red Bull Racing makes fun of punishment from FIA
- GPblog.com
For Red Bull Racing, it was not only the season of Max Verstappen's second world title and the constructors' championship. It was certainly also the year of the multimillion-dollar fine for exceeding the budget cap.
Christian Horner and Helmut Marko accepted the penalty on behalf of Red Bull, but they did not fully agree with it. Seven million dollars had to be paid to the FIA by the team of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. Moreover, Red Bull is punished with 10 per cent less time in the wind tunnel.
Closing
With Christmas ahead and then the New Year coming soon, the time of looking back and closing has begun. It seems that Red Bull is closing the chapter of the fine, and even daring to make fun of it it. The Christmas wish the team posted on Twitter Friday night at least suggests that. Indeed, the Santa in the image says: "This turkey might've taken us over budget..."
