Brown has ambitious McLaren target: 'I think it fits with our brand'

McLaren has been in the sub-top of Formula 1 for many years. While the British formation has received much credit for its performance in the motorsport class, Zak Brown is not content with the results for now. Indeed, according to the CEO, it should be possible to compete for wins.
Brown knows the Formula One team has all the qualities to make great strides in the future. "I really would like to get McLaren into top level sportscar racing," he revealed in the Marshall Pruett Podcast. "I think it fits with our brand."
With the departure of Andreas Seidl, a different wind will blow in the coming seasons. Andrea Stella is his replacement and will, however, continue on the German's lines. Indeed, McLaren believes it has already made the right turn towards the top by now.
Brown asks for patience
Prior to the current season, McLaren seemed to have a chance of winning the world title due to the new regulations, but that goal turned out to be further away than thought. However, Brown reassured McLaren fans he is confident he can compete for the world title with Lando Norris. "I think it’s a few years away," he said.
