Verstappen in action at virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans as early as January
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen has his first race in 2023 on the calendar. The two-time Formula One world champion will compete in the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The winter break is the perfect opportunity for Formula 1 drivers to relax for a while after a busy season. Another winter test is scheduled in February ahead of the packed 2023 F1 season that starts in March with a record 24 Grands Prix on the calendar.
Verstappen will race again
Verstappen will not be kept on the sidelines for long, however, as the Dutchman is a big fan of sim racing. He has a simulator at home and, on behalf of Team Redline, the Dutchman regularly takes part in various sim races. Most recently, for instance, Verstappen participated in the six hours of Spa-Francorchamps and the 500 miles of Sebring.
The Verstappen.com twitter channel announced that Verstappen will compete in the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans on behalf of Team Redline on 14 January 2023. The virtual race will be held on the weekend of 14 and 15 January and can be followed live on the platform's channels.
