'Binotto cannot join another F1 team due to 'gardening leave''

Mattia Binotto will not be able to join another F1 team in the coming year. The former Ferrari team boss is reportedly on a 12-month 'gardening leave'.
Binotto has closed the door behind him at Ferrari, handing over the baton to Frederic Vasseur. The Italian no longer felt the confidence of the management and the management would prefer another team boss as well. With Binotto's departure, that became a possibility for Ferrari and in Vasseur they have found the new man.
Binotto still longer at Ferrari
Nevertheless, Binotto and Ferrari are still somewhat linked. Formu1a.uno are reporting that Binotto and Ferrari have agreed on a 12-month 'gardening leave' period. Binotto still had a contract for 2023 and thus remains linked to Ferrari for as long as his contract lasted.
Binotto will not have to do any work for Ferrari during this period, but he will also not be allowed to work for another F1 team. Ferrari has reportedly managed this by compensating the former team boss financially. In this, Ferrari's method is at odds with the changes we have seen between McLaren and Sauber, where Zak Brown allowed Andreas Seidl to leave immediately for Sauber.
