Hamilton not interested in taking over English football club after all

Earlier this month, news emerged that Lewis Hamilton would make another attempt to co-own an English football club. Now it seems the seven-time world champion is not part of the bid for Manchester United after all, says the British Independent.
Hamilton not interested in Manchester United after all
Hamilton is not involved in Jim Ratcliffe's bid for Manchester United after all. The 70-year-old is one of Britain's richest men with the success of global company Ineos, which is also the main partner and third shareholder of Mercedes' Formula One team.
Last year, Hamilton was part of Martin Broughton's failed bid to buy English football club Chelsea. Despite earlier reports in the British media, it looks like Hamilton is not interested in Manchester United after all. The football club's current owners reported in November that a sale of the club was in the works.
Ratcliffe, like Hamilton, was also interested in taking over Chelsea. The co-owner of Mercedes made a £4.25 billion bid for the football club, but that amount was not enough. Again, Ratcliffe will have to consider other interested parties this time.
