Second reserve driver at Ferrari also confirmed

The rumours had been going around for a while, but it has now been confirmed: Robert Shwartzman will be Ferrari's reserve driver next season alongside Antonio Giovinazzi. This will give the talent a chance to get used to Formula 1.
Giovinazzi will compete in the WEC in 2023 alongside his work in the motorsport class, with four of the seven race weekends coinciding with a Grand Prix. It caused Ferrari to look for young talent to take over the role during these races.
With Shwartzman, they finds a driver who failed to secure a spot in Formula 1 this calendar year. The driver managed to finish second with Prema in Formula 2 behind Oscar Piastri in 2021. Last season, he was still a test driver for the Formula 1 team and made his debut in the first free practice of the Abu Dhabi GP.
