The second free practice session for the Diriyah ePrix is over. The cars with the Porsche powertrain impressed again, with that managed to record the fastest time.

This weekend is all about the Diriyah ePrix in Saudi Arabia. After an opening weekend in Mexico, the Formula E circus heads to Diriyah for a Double Header. The first race will be run on Friday, followed immediately by a second race on Saturday. The practice sessions are therefore crucial, as there are a lot of points to be earned this weekend.

Porsche again the team to beat?

On Thursday, the Jaguar drivers made a big impression with Sam Bird and Mitch Evans on P1 and P3 respectively. The Porsche-powered drivers who had dominated so much in Mexico were a little further away, but will return during FP2 on Friday. Jake Dennis, the winner of the first race in Mexico was at the top of the timesheet for quite some time.

There were problems for Team Abt, which has a new driver in the car with Kelvin van der Linde as a replacement for the injured Robin Frijns. So then more depends on Nico Muller, but he experienced problems with his car. Thus, the two drivers finished at the bottom of the timesheet.

Daniel Ticktum in his NIO proved to be very fast in the end. With a 1.10.099, he was too fast for the competition, which made the Brit a surprise after all. Behind him, we see Sebastien Buemi, Mitch Evans and Stoffel Vandoorne in the timesheet. Dennis eventually had to settle for ninth place.
