Opportunity for women in F1

The newly created F1 Academy series will start in 2023. In that series, 15 women will compete against each other in a class supported by F1. After the W Series, this project should also ensure that women get more opportunities in motorsport. With big brands like Prema, ART and MP Motorsport, the appeal is strong.

ART Grand Prix is the first team to announce a driver for 2023. Léna Bühler is the first name on the 2023 start list. Bühler is a 25-year-old driver from Switzerland. She has previously competed in the Spanish F4 Championship (fifteenth in 2020), the Formula Regional European Championship (38th in 2021 and 39th in 2022) and this year she has already driven nine races in the Formula 4 Championship in the United Arab Emirates. In those nine races, she did not yet score any points. Her best result was a 16th place.
