Christian Horner has expressed his expectations for the 2023 Formula 1 season ahead of the RB19 car launch. Red Bull Racing is considered the benchmark this year, and as far as Horner is concerned, that only adds motivation for the team.
"We were the hunter but are now being hunted," the Red Bull team boss told Sky Sports ahead of the launch. "We are going into the season with No 1 on the car and are defending the title as a constructor for the first time since 2013. That's extra motivation."

The 2022 F1 season was a dream season for Red Bull, which won a record number of races with world champion Max Verstappen. "We won 17 out of 22 Grands Prix and two out of three sprint races. A dream season that will be hard to top," the Briton observes.
However, he is also looking over his shoulder. "I am sure our opponents will be hugely competitive. Other teams also want to make strides and we do not underestimate our competitors," Horner said.
