Last weekend, the Race of Champions took place in Sweden. On Saturday, Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher took on other countries together as team Germany, on Sunday it was every man for himself. Vettel looks back on the event at F1-insider.com.

The two Germans made it to the semi-finals as a team on Saturday. An interesting situation occurred a day later: both drivers found themselves in the semi-finals again, but now had to compete against each other. Schumacher eventually took the victory.

"We both did our best of course, but I was happy that Mick won. Conversely, he would have been irritated yet equally happy if I was the one who had won. It was nice for him of course, he was well into it this whole weekend. [Mick] had a bit of a cold at the end, but you didn't see much of that on the track," Vettel said.

Inactive since Abu Dhabi

The four-time F1 world champion is overall satisfied with his performance at ROC. Reaching the semi-finals was a fine result in his eyes as he has not driven a race car since the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

"Of course, I would have liked [my performance] to be a bit better. But, I could also have been eliminated in the first round and that would have been worse."
