Ricciardo points to favourite circuits: 'That's our crown jewel'

Daniel Ricciardo has said what he thinks are the best circuits to be at as a spectator or driver. The Australian was a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where he was asked which circuits he preferred.
Ricciardo was a guest on the US talk show. Host Stephen Colbert asked Ricciardo which track was the best to go to as a fan, and which track was the best to drive on as a driver. For the first category, Ricciardo, who has regularly shown his fondness for American cowboy culture, pandered to the audience a little.
"I know, I’m in America, but I love Austin, it’s really fun. Good barbecue, good music. It’s its own kind of atmosphere. It’s not the only one, but it’s certainly one I love going to and I’ll certainly keep going to it just as a fan in the future."
'That's our crown jewel'
As a driver, however, Ricciardo had a different preference: "Monaco. That's our crown jewel." Over the course of last season, rumours surfaced that Monaco would disappear from the calendar. The street circuit is still scheduled for 2023, yet Colbert asked if Ricciardo expects Monaco to remain on the calendar in the long term.
"I think so, yeah. It’s a staple. To win that is so prestigious. It’s glamorous. When you think of F1, you think of the Monaco Grand Prix, the yachts, the celebrities, the race, it’s everything. So that one will stay."
